FAQs
What is LAUNCH, and who is it for?
LAUNCH is a therapy group designed for couples who want to break free from recurring conflicts, improve communication, and build a stronger, more connected relationship. Over 5 to 8 weeks, you’ll gain practical skills to enhance understanding, trust, and emotional connection.
How long does the group last, and what’s the time commitment?
The group runs for 5 to 8 weeks, depending on group preferences and insurance requirements. Sessions are held once a week and typically last 1.5 hours.
What if we can’t make every session?
Attendance is important for getting the most out of LAUNCH. If you miss a session, you’ll be expected to complete a telehealth check-in during the same week to review materials and stay on track with the group. This ensures you and your partner can continue making progress together.
What if we’re uncomfortable sharing or have social anxiety?
It’s normal to feel nervous in a group setting. LAUNCH is a structured, supportive space where the facilitator, Scott Mersino, LPCC, ensures a respectful and inclusive environment. You can engage at your own pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. The focus is on learning and growth, not oversharing.
How much does LAUNCH cost?
The cost for the entire program is $499 with options for using insurance, paying in full, or pay-as-you-go. Sliding scale options may be available.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we accept Partnership, Aetna, and Blue Shield. If using insurance, you and your partner must complete an assessment appointment before the group begins along with a discharge appointment. These sessions, provided by Scott Mersino, LPCC, last 16–30 minutes and helps determine a diagnosis for insurance billing, as well as clinical group outcomes.
