Guiding with Strength and Clarity Toward Lasting Growth
Life can feel heavy. You may be carrying the weight of past hurts, feeling isolated, or overwhelmed by the expectations and responsibilities of today. For many, it feels like every step forward takes effort, and hope can feel distant. I understand this struggle deeply and know the courage it takes to reach out for support.
Having spent years adapting to new places and people in the foster system, I know what it’s like to seek connection and find a sense of belonging in an ever-changing world. I know how disorienting it can feel to navigate life’s transitions, especially when faced alone. That’s why I became a therapist—to offer others a genuine, supportive relationship to help them find solid ground, no matter what they’re facing.
In our work together, I’ll be here to listen without judgment and offer steady guidance to help you reconnect with your strengths. Through practical tools, compassionate support, and methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we’ll work through the thoughts and feelings that keep you stuck, allowing you to build a life that feels manageable, purposeful, and more fully your own. You don’t have to have all the answers yet—together, we’ll take things one step at a time.
What You Can Expect
Beginning therapy is about building a solid foundation together. During our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your life experiences, and your goals. This is the time for you to share what you’re hoping to gain and for me to understand how I can best support you.
Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that outlines our focus areas and the steps we’ll take to move forward. Think of this as our roadmap, which we’ll revisit about every 90 days to see how things are going. Throughout your journey, we’ll check in regularly on your progress and talk about any shifts or new insights. This allows us to adjust our approach as needed, always making sure that the path forward feels right for you.
You can expect sessions to be a safe, open space where we work side by side, celebrating progress, addressing challenges, and continuously moving toward the goals that matter most to you. Therapy isn’t always a straight line, but with regular adjustments, we’ll stay aligned to help you make meaningful changes over time.
About Me and How I Help
With a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes. My approach combines deep empathy with effective tools like Brainspotting and CBT-focused play therapy to help clients not only cope but thrive.
Who I Work With
Clients: Children (7+), teens, young adults, individuals, and families
Focus Areas: Anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and family dynamics
Therapy Styles: ACT, CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting
On a Personal Note
One quote that resonates with me is, “One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful” (Sigmund Freud). In my own life, I find peace in simple comforts like a cup of coffee by the fire on a winter evening or the joy of a road trip. These small things keep me grounded and remind me of the beauty found in the journey.
