Hi! I’m Scott, Your Mental Wellness Guide
The simple truth is that therapy takes courage. It is the place where you come face to face with some of the harder truths about your life. I know it’s hard, which is exactly why I am here to be with you throughout the journey.
Let’s start your journey
When life and relationships leave you feeling:
Constantly frustrated
Burned out
Overwhelmed
Confused
Stuck in shame
You have come to this point in time where you find yourself here, right now, seeking, reaching, asking for help. I would love to offer that help to you. My office is the space to process, reflect, vent, clarify, grow, stretch, and eventually celebrate.
Change happens when you learn to develop:
Awareness – the rational and emotional experience of learning more about yourself
Acceptance – the core human need for security and purpose
Action – the behaviors you do that shape your life
The First Steps
Set and have your consultation which me. On the phone or in person, we will:
Identify the specific problems you are seeking to work through
Discuss expectations of therapy
Explore what treatment planning will look like
When we meet in person, we will:
Review the journey you’ve been on
Explore your life as it is now
Develop a new focus for where you want to be
My Methods
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: Our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all work together helping or hurting us on our life’s journey. Developing understanding of how they all interact with each other is very important for developing the skills needed to make the changes you want
Solution Focused Therapy: Having a deep understanding of the problem is an important aspect of therapy, but even more important is a deep understanding of the solution. What do you actually want to feel, think, and do differently? If your life could suddenly change and be exactly what you wanted, what would it look like? Solution-focused therapy asks these questions.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: People develop the genuine sense of acceptance needed to grow and become resilient and confident in and with themselves
Emotionally Focused Therapy: Emotions are the tools our body uses to meet our underlying needs. They are beacons of information telling us things about our surroundings, our relationships, and our lives. Together we will grow your understanding of emotions so you can have a richer and more connected life.
